The old bridge

Mostar

The Old Bridge in Mostar was built like a rainbow arch. Is there anything like him in the world, my God? The verse was inscribed on the first stone laid in the foundations of the Old Bridge in 1557, the construction of which began by order of Suleiman the Magnificent. He brought that bridge, in his head and heart, Hajrudin, a builder, a bridge builder by profession, and a poet by heart.

When you arrive in Mostar, all roads lead you to the Old Bridge. When you step onto this stone masterpiece, take the opportunity to feel the spirit of one of the most valuable cultural and historical monuments in the world, which is the symbol and soul of Mostar, but also of all of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Stretching over the beautiful Neretva River, the Old Bridge tells you about its destruction and reconstruction, thus revealing the historical details of this city. Located in a location that offers a magical view of the city and the famous Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, it will inspire you to take the most beautiful photos here! If you are lucky, maybe one of Mostar's famous jumpers will perform a jump into the blue-green Neretva just for you!
